How do you pronounce your band name?

It is James V as in “James the Fifth”, because the V is a Roman numeral, but people sometimes just say “James Vee” anyway.

Is it just you in the band?

I write and record almost everything myself, except drums, but live I play with my friends Danny, Kirby, Shannon and Eric and they are all very talented.

I’m just hanging at home. I might go to see a movie later, but I’m not sure. What about you?

Oh, that’s cool. What movie? I was thinking of that too. I currently am watching “Caroline in the City” reruns and snuggling with my new dog :).

Oh, cool! I remember when that would come on Nick at Nite when I was a kid. Well, I was thinking of seeing Slumdog Millionaire tonight. It’s gotten really good reviews, and I hear it’s catching a lot of Oscar buzz. What type of dog?

It’s a pomeranian :). And YES you should see it. I saw it with my brother. At first I was skeptical; I objected to its billing as the ‘feel good film of the decade’ when all it did was portray vividly the misery of corruption, crime, poverty, conflict and brutality. Yet despite that, Danny Boyle manages to let you succumb to an unfettered, joyous optimisim at the film’s end that leaves you with a huge smile on your face -- without insulting your brain. It was beautiful.
